Review: Kinsey

It’s meh, as far as biopics are concerned, and it’s extremely rushed, never taking a moment to catch it’s own breath. It never gets hung up on the sexual stuff, and does everything that could considered risque rather tastefully. Neeson (who actually looks like the real Alfred Kinsey) is rarely believe as a ‘real’ person; he hasn’t broken my personal barrier as film actor. Linney is great as always, no complaints there. Sarsgaard, Hutton, and O’Donnell create a great threesome as his scientific team, but none of them are particularly memorable. There was a really tender and touching moment towards the end, a great point for the film to end. But, it gives itself at least five different endings; I was like ‘OK, I was touched, let’s wrap this up.’ Good for the initial watch, not much more.
“Sometimes I tie a rope around my balls when I jerk off.”
“And what other masochistic acts do you enjoy?”
“Does that mean queer?”
